Obesity is the extra energy that the body don't used for the body activities , which is accumulated as a fat in the body . There are many reason for children's obesity such as genetics, sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy eating behaviours. The obesity is considered as a national problem. The statistics show that obesity has increased in many countries . Australia is one of those countries that has one in each five child is overweight or obese and the the number of obese children at 7-15year old has doubled between 1985-1995. Obesity has many impacts on children's health like; sleep apnoea , liver problems , respiratory disorders, cardiomyopathy, orthopaedic disorders , and type 2 diabetes. Obesity also causes social problems, Obese children are more likely to have low_esteem ,which may affect the development of friendships at school.
Moreover obesity in childhood leads to obesity in adulthood, therefor, having a healthy diet and doing physical activities are the best treatment to eliminate childhood obesity.
